Nail of the Week: Sally Hansen Coral Reef!

This week I'm wearing Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear nail polish in Coral Reef. I've heard a few people talking about this, but I was never really interested in it. The other day in Target, I saw it while I was browsing the Essie polishes and had to get it. As a middle schooler, Sally Hansen used to be my favorite nail polish brand, and using this almost made me nostalgic of those days, so I couldn't pass this polish up! :)

Coral Reef has a cream finish with no shimmer. I would describe it as the perfect coral color, in direct sunlight. The pink and orange hints compliment each other perfectly. However, in different lighting, Coral Reef can look like a straight up bubblegum pink, or even a bright orange (as of right now, it looks like a true tangerine orange on my nails).

Despite the almost color-changing properties of this nail polish, everything else is great! The consistency of this nail polish is very thick, and in only one coat there was full-on opacity. Also, the shine is amazing. Even without a my trusty Seche Vite top coat, Coral Reef was extremely shiny on my nails.

Overall, I would highly highly recommend Coral Reef. The color, opacity and shine is exactly what nail polishes should be like!

About: <around> $3 for .40 fl oz

  1. What a gorgeous color! It was only today that I noticed how cheap some of Sally Hansen's nail polishes are!
