Nail of the Week: Essie Tart Deco!

This week, I'm sporting Essie's Tart Deco nail polish. Ever since I got this nail polish a couple months ago, I have been painting my nails this color non-stop! It is gorgeous, and my go-to polish for the summer!

Tart Deco is a milky orange-coral color with a cream finish. Compared to my last week's nail polish, Sally Hasen's Coral Reef, in natural lighting, it is much more orange. You may be wondering why I'm comparing these two nail polishes, since they look extremely different, but once my nails are painted, Coral Reef and Tart Deco actually look very similar in darker lighting (again, it's one of those ambiguous nail polish colors - in natural lighting, it looks like a milky peach; in different lighting, it can look like a highlighter orange!) Also, it applies much darker and more orange than what I expected, despite the fact that it looks light and peachy in the bottle.

Before going out and buying this nail polish a few months ago, I read many reviews on it. I was surprised to hear that the consistency was too watery, the application was streaky, and it chipped easily. Despite these reviews, I went out and got Tart Deco. The first time I used it, I was pleasantly pleased - the application is smooth, and in 2 coats there was full opacity. As most Essie polishes are, the drying time was fairly quick and when the polish was fully dried, it lasted me a good week with a lot of shine.

I really love Tart Deco; everything about it is wonderful, and I am so glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews and went out and purchased this nail polish! I recommend it to everyone, because I don't know any skin color that would not be flattered by Tart Deco!

About: $8 for .46 fl oz
